Shidoshi Bart Uguccioni

Rokudan - 6th degree black belt, Togakure Ryu Ninjutsu, head instructor Dexter Bujinkan Dojo. Bart began Martial Arts training in Isshinryu Karate, in 1974 while still in high school. As an infantry Marine Sgt. he studied Shotokan Karate, and Hapkido for 7 years while overseas. He received an honorable discharge after 13 years of service.

Bart Uguccioni was a sworn and certified reserve Police Officer with the WCC Sheriff's Dept. He has been actively training in Budo Taijutsu in the Dexter / Ann Arbor, Michigan area and in Japan for the past 14 years. Bart is a personal student of Masaaki Hatsumi Soke of the International Bujinkan Dojo. He is also under the direct guidance and training of Shihan Phil Legare & Shihan Michael Pearce of the Bujinkan Taka-Seigi Dojo, Tokyo Japan.

Bart studies the way of the sword under the patient guidance and friendship of Sensei Pat Veninga
(Muso Chokuden Eshin Ryu).

Shihan Phillip Legare
Phillip Legare Shihan is the senior instructor and founder of the Bujinkan Taka Seigi Dojo, headquartered in Tokyo Japan.

Legare Shihan started his martial arts training in 1969 under SiLum Kung Fu Sifu Jerry Gibson. He started training in the Bujinkan in 1982 and has been a personal student of Soke Hatsumi since the summer of 1987. He is currently a GoJudan (15th degree black belt) and licensed master instructor of Budo Taijutsu, in the Bujinkan Dojo, under Soke Masaaki Hatsumi.

Soke Hatsumi also awarded Mr. Legare a Judan Menkyo Kaiden (master's license) in Shinken Taijutsu (modern warfare). Shinken Taijutsu is modern combat techniques created from Budo Taijutsu by Soke Hatsumi and Legare Shihan. It is offered to select individuals with a need for specialized training.

Shihan Michael Pearce
10th Dan Togakure Ryu Ninpo. Shihan Michael Pearce, long time Noda resident and member of the Bujinkan, offers interesting and practical insights into The Bujinkan Martial Arts Tradition.

Shihan Pearce came up thorough the ranks as Hatsumi Sensei's Uke over the past twelve years. His 1st hand training experiences with Hatsumi Sensei, while living in Japan has developed him into one of the most experienced & knowledgeable people teaching and transmitting the Art of Budo Taijutsu.

Brian R. VanCise
Brian VanCise conducts regular Modern Arnis & Instinctive Response Training for The Dexter Bujinkan Dojo. He is the Founder of Instinctive Response Training (1994). Some of his credentials include:

Yondan ( 4th Degree blackbelt ) Togakure Ryu Ninjutsu.

20+ years experience in Tae Kwon Do, 4th Degree Blackbelt.
Master Instructors License, UTB, UMAB, ITF
20+ years experience in Arnis, Filipino empty hand, stick, knife, and sword fighting. Brian has studied the Martial Arts all over the US has trained with Martial Arts Masters in Japan & India.

Dean Houser
Holds the rank of Shodan (1st degree black belt) and is an assistant Instructor at the Dexter Bujinkan Dojo. In 2003 Dean joined the Dexter Bujinkan Dojo and has been training hard ever since.

Dean has attended numerous seminars and Bujinkan events and has had the great fortune to train directly with Hatsumi Sensei in Japan. While in Japan with other dojo members in 2006 he was promoted to Shodan by Nagato Sensei. Dean also studies the way of the Sword (Muso Chokuden Eshin Ryu) under Sensei Patrick Veninga.

Dominik Lazarski

Holds the rank of Sandan (3rd dan) and is an Assistant Instructor at the Dexter Bujinkan Dojo. "Dom" became hooked on training in the Bujinkan in 2001. He attended as many seminars and Bujinkan events as his schedule permitted while a full-time student. Dominik graduated in Dec. of 2004 with a degree in programing. Dominik has had the opportunity to train with some Shihan, he also trains in Arnis under Brian VanCise.

Kellen Myers

Kellen is a full time Law student at Indiana University. He holds the rank of Sundan (3rd degree black belt) in Togakure Ryu Ninpo, and is an Assistant Instructor at the Dexter Bujinkan Dojo.

Kellen addiction to martial arts began in 2001. He joined the Dexter Bujinkan Dojo in 2003 and has been training there ever since. Kellen also studies the way of the Sword under under Sensei Patrick Veninga (Muso Chokuden Eshin Ryu).

In 2004 & 2006, Kellen went to Japan to train directly with Hatsumi Sensei as well as numerous other Japanese Shihan. While in Japan in 2006 he was promoted to Sandan.

Brian Greeson

Brian holds the rank of Nidan and is an Assistant Instructor at the Dexter Bujinkan Dojo. Brian has trained diligently and has attended many Bujinkan seminars and Events. Brian has had the great fortune to train in Japan with Hatsumi Sensei and many other Japanese Shihan. At 21, Brian is the youngest Instructor at the Dojo. In 2004, Brian made his 1st appearance in a Martial Arts training video, he also made the cover of the DVDs instructional book.

Currently Brian is serving his country in the US Army, he is a Saw Gunner in the elite 82nd Airborn. He is scheduled to go "wheels up" in early 2007.
